Registration & Eligibility

Is video consultation suitable for all kind of illness?

Video consultation is designed for treatment non-emergency condition and it is not suitable for symptoms requiring immediate medical assistance; we would advise that you reach out to emergency room if you experiencing the following ( not limited to): 

Choking / Speech difficulty / Suicidal or homicidal thought / Chest pain /Severe bleeding/Confusion and/or hallucination• Seizures / Loss of consciousness/Other serious medical or similar symptoms Breathing difficulty / Broken bone / Severe pain• Weakness in arm or leg


I am currently stuck outside Hong Kong, can I conduct a video consultation?

You must be physically present in Hong Kong at the time of your video consultation.

I am not a permanent resident in HK, can I use video consultation?

We welcome all patients to consult our doctors online as long as you are able to provide a proof of identity (ID, Passport)

I am under 18, can I see a doctor online?

If you are a minor (under 18), during registration, an adult (parents, guardian or next of kin) need to sign on the appointment form. During consultation, such adult must be in presence.

Why I need to show my Proof of identity again prior to consultaiton

It is part of verification process to re-confirm the patient identity.

How am I able to get medication, sick certificate after consultation

After the consultation, if our medical practitioner based on his professional judgement decided it is necessary and appropriate, he may issue prescribed medication, referral letters and or medical certificates (e.g. sick leave certificate) to you. All of them will be delivered to your designated address

Is video recording allowed?

No, it is strictly not allowed.  Any form of screen capture, photopgrah, sound/video recording of any part of a consultation is not allowed for both medical practitioner and patient or anyone accompany the patient during the consultation.

How to take the medication?

Payment and delivery

How shall I pay my consultation and medication?

Prior to consultation, you are required to arrange a payment thru FPS system, Payme or Bank Transfer.  After consultation, if there is a need for extra medication, sick leave certificate that need to delivery to your address, our team will get in touch with you for further arrangement.

Does my insurance cover teleconsultation?

It is best to check with your insurance company whether teleconsultation is accepted in your insurance plan. At this stage, we only accept Cash based payment, no direct billing for teleconsultation. However, do note that for standard face to face consultation, Asia Medical Specialists do have a list of insurance partner that we accept direct billing. Please visit our direct billing page for more information

I would like to collect my medication / certificate directly at your clinic, is this feasible?

Yes, this is totally feasible.  Please let us know in advance your choice of medication collection method

What happened if I missed my delivery schedule?

If you have missed your schedule, the courier have to return the package back to our clinic and the medication has to be destroyed.
